Therapy Designed Specifically for You

At Massage and Movement Therapy, we provide three distinct levels of massage. Each level is designed to address a specific need. Regardless of what level of massage or bodywork therapy you receive, we begin with a detailed history and thorough analysis, including past and current treatments, and we create  a specific treatment plan .

We also encourage you to be active in your own healing, and we provide you with the tools to do that: accurate assessment, excellent therapeutic massage, and plenty of information. This approach is designed to solve the underlying problem and to help you prevent future difficulties. Although we’ll work with you as long as you need us, many courses of treatment are successfully completed in three to six months.

THREE LEVELS OF MASSAGE THERAPY

Level One is often called wellness or meditative massage. Routine Level One massage helps you maintain health and improve quality of life by providing a safe, relaxing respite from the stresses of everyday life.

In Level Two massage, we identify specific pain patterns and help you understand the impact of your life habits on structure and movement. We combine Level Two massage with client education and encouragement to alleviate chronic pain.

In Level Three massage, we delve into biomechanical efficiency, myofascial pain and its resolution, mind-body integration, and the impact of stress and trauma on the body. We look at the neuromuscular system in its entirety, in context with your intellectual, emotional, spiritual, and physical environment.
